As of 2016, the FAA dropped the term "biennial" from the formerly known Biennial Flight Review, or BFR for short.
Now it's simply called a "Flight Review"*

Every pilot is required to receive a minimum of one hour of ground instruction and one hour of flight instruction every 24 months in order to stay current.
